WOODSTOCK - A local baker will compete for $10,000 in tonight's episode of The Big Bake: Halloween on the Food Network.
You may know Kirsten Poole from Cakes by K. She's very popular in the Friendly City and she's already booked solid for orders for the rest of the year. She didn't always know she wanted to be a baker.
"I actually went to school to be a personal support worker. I did that for many years and I just did cakes on the side. I did it for friends and family. It was just so much fun and it turned into my entire life!"
During tonight's episode of The Big Bake: Halloween, Poole will be given five hours to create a Halloween themed cake along with her team mates Kristen Eagles and Sara Barros. She says it was an amazing experience.
"We definitely all had our own role and we played to our own strengths. You will definitely see me in the kitchen doing a lot of the baking. You will have to check it out because it's absolutely amazing and my team was fantastic."
It was filmed all in one day and the winner will be crowned at the end of the episode. Tonight's episode of The Big Bake: Halloween will air at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the Food Network.
