Willow Lake Campground & RV Park is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters to offer more outdoor fun for the kids.
WOODSTOCK - Big Brother Big Sisters of Woodstock and District is heading outdoors after officially partnering with Willow Lake Campground & RV Park.
Owners Mark and Melanie Jaycock connected with Big Brothers Big Sisters in May of this year with an opportunity to receive the proceeds of cans and bottles donated by their guests.
Melanie and Mark introduced themselves as the new owners of Willow Lake Campground & RV Park, who left big city living to fulfill a dream. They communicated their desire to give back to their new community and youth.
The campground and RV Park and Big Brothers Big Sisters began to discuss partnership options, such as an activity day during Big Brothers Big Sisters Kids 'N Kops Camp, camping weekends, and event space opportunities.
Kristen Ralph, Interim Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters tells Heart FM about why that partnership made sense.
"They have a wonderful campground, they have so many different activities for kids indoor and outdoor that you know it seemed to fit."
Ralph says this partnership will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters to come together as one big family during special occasions.
"It gives us another place that we can host events. We love to have agency picnics, and agency events where everybody can come and sometimes it's difficult to find a place that can host that level of attendance and Willow Lake seems to be a perfect spot for that."
