There is lots to celebrate this Canada Day, and Woodstock will have lots going on in South Side Park.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is gearing up for Canada Day.
On Wednesday, residents will be able to visit South Side Park and enjoy many activities and celebrate Woodstock's 125th birthday along with Canada's 159th year. Manager of Special Events for the City of Woodstock, Kristen Brodhagen, shares some details.
"So, it starts at 2 o'clock, and there's lots going on. There's main stage music all day, as well as the side stage. We have a Canadian Kids Zone with inflatables, a rock-climbing wall, photo booth. We are selling 125th anniversary merch."
Brodhagen says what will close out the night.
"So, we are really celebrating this year. And of course, the night will end with a bang with the Canada Day fireworks at 9:30."
Residents will also be given a free concert in South Side Park. The headliner for this year's event is Canadian Rock icon Kim Mitchell. Speaking of Kim Mitchell, he took some time to talk with Heart FM's Afternoon Host Xander Wynberg. You can listen to the full interview below.
