Canada turns 152 next week and the City of Woodstock are holding celebrations in Southside Park.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock will be celebrating Canada's 152nd birthday next week.
The event will take place on Monday in Southside Park. Bring the whole family and enjoy different activities, including Find Kiddie Fun Traks & Inflatables, Crafters Alley, Beverage Garden and over 1,500 Red & White Canada Day Cupcakes.
Performances will be all afternoon long with the Professional Busker Cobbler Jay, Music from Safe As Milk. Also tribute performances to Cardi B, Nikki Minaj, Arianna Grande, Bruno Mars and Canada's Premier Tragically Hip tribute band, the Road Apples.
Manager of Communications and Special Events for the City of Woodstock Brad Janssen says the event will be enjoyable for everyone
"All our events for the city are all inclusive, so we have to provide amenities and entertainment for kids of all ages, so to speak. We've got something for everybody. We celebrate local talent, thus the The Do-Overs and Safe As Milk. Then we bring in the tribute artists for the teens right up through the old rockers so to speak, so it's going to be a full fledged day of great activity and entertainment."
