Canada Possibly Changing Guidelines for AstraZeneca Vaccine

The CBC is reporting that Canada will change its guidelines on the AstraZeneca-Oxford COVID-19 vaccine and start giving it to seniors over the age of 65.

CANADA - The CBC is reporting that Canada will change its guidelines on the AstraZeneca-Oxford COVID-19 vaccine and start giving it to seniors over the age of 65.

This is a major change in the vaccine rollout. As of right now, the Country is only allowing those 65 and younger to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. In Ontario it is only available to residents between the ages of 60-64.

Several countries in Europe have paused the use of AstraZeneca because of reports of blood clots in some users. Canadian officials have maintained the vaccine is safe and it is still being used in Canada.
