Police are searching for a driver who narrowly missed a crossing guard, great grandmother and a 7 year old kid at the cross walk near St. Michael's Catholic Elementary School this morning.
WOODSTOCK - Police are searching for the driver of a car who nearly hit three people at a cross walk at the St. Michael's Catholic Elementary School in Woodstock.
The near miss happened this morning when a Great Grandmother was walking her 7 year old great Granddaughter to school. The car completely ignored the crossing guard, narrowly missing the grandmother, the kid and the crossing guard. The vehicle slowed down afterward and offered a wave of apology but failed to stop. The parties involved are quite shaken up and would like the driver of the vehicle to be identified and spoken to.
Police are searching for a slate grey car that was speeding eastbound this morning near the school on Devonshire. The driver is a woman, around 30-40 years of age with long dark hair and wearing glasses.
Several vehicles that were travelling westbound that had stopped for the crossing guard may have witnessed the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers.
