Sunday from 10-2pm you can have a picture taken of your pet with Santa at the Wellington Animal Hospital
WOODSTOCK - As we approach the holiday season one local animal hospital is giving your pet the chance to get a picture with the jolly man himself.
Registered Veterinary Technician, Courtney, who works at the Wellington Animal Hospital in Woodstock explains what they have planned for your furry friend. "You get your pets photo taken with Santa Claus we have a bunch of cat accessories, and then you get your photo emailed to you. All the proceeds go to Wellington Animal Rescue which helps all our rescue dog and cats that are in need."
This coming Sunday from 10 until 2pm for $15 you can support the hospital, and Courtney breaks down how they came up with this idea. "This is actually our first time so we are pretty excited! We try to kind of change up our fundraiser's that we do every year, but we thought that this would be a good one because a lot of people put over social media their holiday pictures, so we thought this would be a really good one to do."
Courtney goes into detail how their group is helping animals in the area. "Basically we do emergency care for the pounds in our area and surrounding areas, so any of the sick or injured animals that need further care we end up taking on as a rescue animals. Basically all that money goes towards helping their medical and surgical needs and then we adopt them out to their forever homes, so the money raised is basically going directly to their care." Any pet is welcome at the Wellington Street South location on Sunday, and the Hospital is hoping this will catch on to become a very successful annual tradition.
