It is a drop in event happening this Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm at Museum Square in Downtown Woodstock. Supervisor of Child and family Services Cara VanKlaveren says they will have a lot going on.
"The Early On, Child and Family Centre will be providing indigenous led drop in programs for families, in the Museum Square, we will have drummers, fiddlers and jiggers, dancers, indigenous centres and cultural food samples."
The event will also include live performances, and exhibits while providing the opportunity to learn more about local Indigenous groups including N’Amerind Friendship Centre, Native Women’s Centre, and local Metis Councils.
This free drop-in event, which is part of Doors Open, is for residents and families and will offer perspectives and networking opportunities to learn about Indigenous culture and traditions.
