Charge to the Jury will be Heard in Robinson Trial

The Crown wrapped up submissions to the jury Wednesday afternoon. Attorney Tom Meehan told the jury that much of Robinson's testimony was made up. Robinson wrote multiple letters when he was incarcerated. Meehan said there was "not one reference in the letters that fits the characterization of what he said on the stand." The Crown also suggested that Robinson was reckless: "He saw the likelihood that his actions could cause death and proceeded anyway." Meehan ended his submission with saying: "There's overwhelming evidence that he planned to kill Clifford Fair." The Defence, Anik Morrow, voiced her closing arguments Tuesday. She said there are repeated marks of a man who had no clue what he was doing and is "not guilty of murder." With closing arguments over, Justice Kelly Gorman will give her instructions to the jury at 2pm.
