WOODSTOCK - Charger Logistics has opened up their brand new facility in Woodstock.
They had a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday that was attended by local dignitaries. Senior Manager of Finance Sameer Pichumani says they do plan on bringing a lot of new jobs to Woodstock.
"We will will eventually grow to about 100 to 120 people at this facility, right now we have 10 or 15 people who moved from the Brantford office but we plan to ramp up our hiring in this area."
Pichumani says they chose Woodstock because of it's central location.
"We have a lot of customers in this area, we have a very strong driver base in Woodstock and K/W are and we wanted to tap and grow into those areas as well and the great thing about this location is we are really close to the 401/403, so it also reduces our debt head mileage as well."
Construction on the building took about 9 months. Charger Logistics moves freight and provides freight management solutions and warehousing. The Woodstock facility is located at 1276 Commerce Way.
