Two people were arrested after a warrant was executed in Woodstock yesterday.
WOODSTOCK - A weapons investigation has led to charges in Woodstock.
The Woodstock Police Service's Drug Enforcement and Criminal Intelligence Unit launched the investigation in the fall of this year and executed a search warrant at a Woodstock residence yesterday. The Waterloo Regional Police Service Emergency Response Unit helped with the execution. During the operation, a large amount of ammunition, two replica firearms, and an assault rifle were seized.
As a result, a 42-year-old Woodstock man has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, one count of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, or ammunition, and three counts of failing to comply with probation.
Also, a 26-year-old woman was arrested and released on an undertaking.
