Woodstock Fire say a Saturday night blaze on Brock Street was caused by improperly disposed smoking materials.
WOODSTOCK - Nobody was injured after a fire destroyed a home on Brock Street in Woodstock.
Fire crews rushed to the scene just before 11 p.m Saturday night after a passerby noticed smoke escaping from the building. Upon arrive the WFD did witness heavy amounts of smoke and even fire within the residence and started to diminish the blaze. Nobody was home at the time and the fire was successfully under control just over an hour later at 12:19am.
Parts of Brock Street were closed off on Sunday to allow for an investigation. Woodstock Fire has determined the cause of the blaze was improperly discarded smoking materials. The home was completely destroyed by the fire.
