The month of June was a good one for the Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors.
OXFORD - It was another great month for the Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors.
President Derrek de Jonge says local realtors sold 195 units in June, which is the highest total for the month in the last five years, and an increase of 26.6 percent compared to June of 2025.
"June delivered a welcome boost to our local market. Sales jumped from the same period last year, marking the highest monthly total in more than three years and the busiest June since 2021. It was a clear sign that buyers are still out there on the sidelines and are willing to step in if the right homes are available."
This is also slightly higher than last month's total, with 192 units sold in May 2026.
The average home sold for $607,919, which is a 5.6 percent decrease compared to June of last year.
The real estate board had 370 new residential listings at the end of the month. This is a gain of 10.8 percent, and de Jong says it's also the largest number of new listings ever for the month of June.
"The number of newly listed homes in June was above normal for this time of year, while overall market conditions held near balanced for a second consecutive month. The MLS Composite Board Benchmark Price dipped slightly year over year but remained stable compared to monthly levels, suggesting the market is finding firmer footing as the traditionally busy spring market comes to a close."
