The owner's son went out to look for the stolen 2009 Ford F-150 Platinum edition pickup truck and found it in the Walmart parking lot, with the suspect still inside.
WOODSTOCK - Police say they got a report on Sunday about a stolen vehicle, but that it had already been recovered.
The investigation has revealed that the owner's son went looking for the stolen 2009 Ford F-150 Platinum edition pickup truck vehicle around 2:30 p.m., ended up finding it in the Norwich Ave Walmart parking lot, and called police by 3:10p.m. The owner’s son confronted the suspect who was still inside the vehicle and held onto him until police arrived on scene.
Police arrested the suspect who also had a quantity of methamphetamines and Hydromorphone. A 32 year old from Burford has been charged with several offences including:
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5000.00
- Possession of Proceeds of Property obtained by Crime over $5000.00
- Possession break in instruments
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking – Hydromorphone
The value of the drugs seized is over $4000.00. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
