COBS Bread in Woodstock is donating 100 percent of its sale proceeds to Operation Sharing today.
WOODSTOCK - You can help raise some dough for Operation Sharing.
For today only, COBS Bread in Woodstock will be donating 100 percent of its sale proceeds to the local organization.
Tim Dukes, the Executive Director of Operation Sharing, says the funds will support their food programs including their breakfast from Monday to Friday, the hot lunch from Tuesday to Thursday, and Food for Friends.
"The number of guests that access these programs grow and and the costs around these programs grow. So these funds will help supply some ingredients if we're missing some to make meals, maybe some school snacks through our pantry program because we're really trying to help families take care of their whole families including their children."
He adds they will have Operation Sharing representatives at COBS today.
"We're just trying to use this event to help educate the community more about the changes at Operation Sharing, what we do nowadays, our successes, partnerships, and all that fun stuff!"
Dukes says Operation Sharing has had a great partnership with COBS ever since it opened. Cobs donates products to seven different organizations each day for food programs.
COBS Bread is located at 860 Dundas Street in Woodstock, and it should be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. today.
