Lots of people will hit the streets of Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg to support Operation Sharing and United Way Oxford.
WOODSTOCK - It is that time of the year again!
The Coldest Night of the Year walk will be taking place this Saturday in the Friendly City beginning at 4:00 p.m. Board Member for Operation Sharing, Shaun Baker says why this event is so important.
"The idea of the Coldest Night of the Year is to help those that are homeless, hungry, and hurt, and so directly funds Operation Sharing, and it is the largest funding in our community for our operation."
Co-organizer, Dale Flynn Jr. has this message for everyone.
"If you're not able to walk and you're able to donate, really the whole goal and the most important part is how much funds can we raise?"
There are also other walks taking place around Oxford County. You have to opportunity to go to Tillsonburg or Ingersoll, if the Woodstock event doesn't work. They will be raising funds for the transitional homes run by United Way Oxford.
