$57,935 will be used to retrofit washrooms to make them more inclusive.
Blandford-Blenheim - Blandford-Blenheim Township is set to receive funding to enhance inclusive and accessible space from the province.
There will be $57,935 split between washroom retrofits to create more opportunities for seniors and people with disabilities to participate in their community.
Oxford MPP, Ernie Hardeman, says how great this will be for the Township.
“This investment will make a meaningful difference for families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities in our community. Upgrading washrooms and adding accessible family facilities helps ensure that everyone can participate fully and comfortably in public spaces. I’m pleased to see this funding supporting projects that improve accessibility, inclusion, and quality of life for residents.”
The grant also allows municipalities to receive up to $60,000 for projects that focus on improving accessibility, including upgrading building entryways, adding ramps and elevators, levelling sidewalks and parking areas.
