The Town Council in Tillsonburg has approved the collaboration between ERTH Corporation and Tillsonburg Hydro Incorporated.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg has approved a new collaboration.
ERTH Corporation and Tillsonburg Hydro Incorporated will have a strategic collaboration, which will see the Town of Tillsonburg acquire shares in ERTH Corporation, and Tillsonburg Hydro joining ERTH Power under the ERTH Power brand. President and CEO of ERTH Corporation, Chris White, says how this will benefit the organizations.
"So, it takes a lot of expertise. And so, with the economies of scale that we're going to gain through this collaboration agreement, I think that's going to help support us and help us make us be a more sustainable organization as we move forward."
White adds that by bringing the utilities together, they can enhance service, strengthen system reliability, and provide the scale needed to support future investment while maintaining stable rates for their customers. White mentions the agreement was something that seemed like a no-brainer.
"When you look at the organizations, we're very like-minded organizations. We service like-minded communities, smaller rural communities."
White says this collaboration will see the benefits of Economies of Scale, Enhanced Financial Stability, Expanded Expertise and Capacity, and Empowered Communities. If you would like more on the collaboration, you can click here.
