Peter Croves has lots of things he would like to accomplish he is elected as a City-County Councillor this fall.
WOODSTOCK - After sitting on the sidelines for quite some time, a Woodstock man is now running for one of the City-County Councillor positions.
Peter Croves is the sixth generation of his family to live in Oxford County.
He says politics runs in his blood; as both his father and grandfather were Mayors back in the day.
"I have been following both levels - County and City - for a number of years and given my family history I feel I would be best suited for being on both councils."
If elected Croves says he would like to implement weekly recycling pickup in Woodstock.
"I am in favour for the City making blue box pickup every week. This is the first place I have ever lived where it isn't that way and I think it should be that way."
He also has lots of other items on his to-do list; which include placing more water fountains and recycling bins throughout the City and cracking down on absentee landlords.
Croves would also like to re-establish Oxford County's boarders back to what they were in 1821; before the County downsized.
