There will be a ceremony taking place in Woodstock tonight to commemorate those who died on D-Day.
WOODSTOCK - A special ceremony is happening in Woodstock to commemorate D-Day.
The ceremony will take place at the Cadet Building. Organizer, Dick Hansen speaks to the events taking place.
"We will March on the colors, we will do Oh Canada, I will do the reading, we do Last Post, 2 minutes of silence, and Reveille."
Hansen mentions he would like to see the ceremony be brought back to the way it used to be. He says it used to be a big event, but died away for unknown reasons. He adds we have to commemorate and not forget the people that died and gave the supreme sacrifice.
Hansen says the march is at 5:45 and the ceremony begins at 6 p.m. He adds it should last about 25 to 30 minutes.
