Local artisan cheese makers will be bringing their “A” game to the 2nd annual Dairy Capital Cheese Fest.
Several local artisan cheese makers, wineries, craft breweries and local restaurants will be attendance once again this year. Owner of Bonafide Events Studios Jessica Stacey tells Heart FM they will have something for the entire family.
"So we have a magic show by Daniel Steeps and that is mostly for the kids but all ages can enjoy that. We have live music this year, which is new this year by a band called the Rockwell, we also have a cooking demo and a craft beer and cheese pairing. We will have a social media wall, how to make the perfect grilled cheese cooking demo as well and all of the cooking demos have samples so everyone can get a little taste."
Stacey says guests will get a chance to browse all of the samples at their leisure and they will have suggestions for the perfect pairings for wine and cheese or beer and cheese.
"So we are just bringing all of the artisan cheese makers in one place, you can try a variety of samples within a couple of hours as opposed to maybe over a weekend, you can also get tips on how to pair those items with other items such as chocolate or honey or beer or wine."
The Dairy Capital Cheese Fest is happening on Saturday April 22nd at the Aud, Tickets cost $10 and sample tickets cost $1 each.
