WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health is warning the public about a new batch of Fentanyl circulating around the region.
This yellow batch of Fentanyl is yellow in colour and people who use it are at a higher risk of overdose. The Health Unit has also noticed a spike in people asking for Naloxone kits.
In the case of an overdose you should:
- Call 911
- Give Naloxone if you suspect the overdose was caused by an opioid.
- Stay with and assist the person until paramedics arrive.
- The person should go to the hospital with paramedics for further treatment.
