Darcy Tucker is coming to the Friendly City as part of the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni game for the CMHA Oxford.
WOODSTOCK - Darcy Tucker will headline a Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni team that is coming to Woodstock on Saturday March 5th.
The Leafs Alumni will be taking on a team made up of Oxford County Stars, which will include former players from the Navy Vets and other junior teams in the area. Tucker played 15 seasons in the NHL, including 8 with the Maple Leafs. The rest of the Leafs Alumni squad will be released at a later date.
Executive Director with CMHA Oxford Mike McMahon tells Heart FM the funds from the game will go towards to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
"The funds are going towards helping us provide walk in services across Oxford County, so that is happening in Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tavistock, Tillsonburg and Norwich right now and that is where all of our community fundraising is aimed at."
Tickets for the March 5, 2016 CMHA Oxford event are available online at cmhaoxford.on.ca or by calling the CMHA Oxford Branch at 519-539-8055 x 200.
