Town of Ingersoll settles one of its union negotiations

INGERSOLL - An agreement has been reached between the Town of Ingersoll and CUPE Local 107 for the Parks and Recreation Department.

The three years agreement includes some benefit increases as well as a wage adjustment for one percent for both 2014 and 2015 as well as 1.5 percent for 2016.

The current contract with the Parks and Rec department had expired back in June.

Mayor Ted Comiskey says "this is a reasonable agreement that is both respectful of our employees yet mindful and which acknowledges the current financial climate we find ourselves in."

The new contract will take place until the end of June 2017.

The Town is continuing it's contract negotiations with the Public Works Department.
