After going to 7 games in their last series, the Tavistock Braves are preparing for a new opponent.
TAVISTOCK - The Tavistock Braves will play the Wellesley Applejacks in the final round of the Doherty Division championship.
The Braves will open their seven game series against their opponents at home tonight.
Braves' Head Coach Dan Kalbfleisch says the players are excited to take the ice.
"They're happy to be in this position. They know there is a lot of work in front of us, so they're excited and looking forward to the opportunity."
The Braves are coming off a competitive series against the Paris Mounties, beating them 5-3 on Sunday to win the series in seven games and move on to the final round.
Kalbfleisch says he's expecting a competitive series.
"I mean, obviously, we're expecting a tough series. Wellesley has had a good season as well and we know it's going to be a battle. We need to focus on continuing to play our game and try to execute at a high level."
The winner of this series will move on to play in the Schmalz Cup playoffs, where they'll play in the first round in the Bloomfield Division against the winner of the Glanbrook Rangers and the Grimsby Peach Kings.
The puck drops at 7:45pm.
