A 49 year old from Burgessville had their vehicle impounded for 45 days and was given a laundry list of charges after a single vehicle crash in Norwich Township on Monday night.
OXFORD COUNTY - No one was injured in a single vehicle crash Monday night, however, the investigation revealed the driver was likely under the influence.
The crash happened on Middletown Line in Norwich Township around 9:10 p.m. Police and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the scene and located the driver and one passenger.
As a result of the investigation, a 49 year old person from Burgessville was charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired - Drugs and Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
- Drive Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Liquor
- Fail to Report Damage to Property on Highway
- Fail to Remain
- Fail to Comply With an Order Made During a Declared Emergency
The vehicle was towed and will automatically be impounded for 45 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in a Woodstock court at a later date.
