Stratford Police say they have received several calls and issued a few charges against drivers blowing past school buses with the lights activated in Stratford and Perth South.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police have received several complaints from school bus drivers about vehicles not stopping.
This is extremely concerning after just the second week of school. Apparently the vehicles are passing when the lights are activated and the stop sign arm is extended. This problem is being reported in Stratford, St Marys and Perth South on a daily basis.
Officers from the Stratford Police laid two charges this week for drivers failing to stop for a school bus and will be taking a zero tolerance policy for any violations. The Stratford Police would like to encourage anyone who witnesses this offence to contact police to provide as much information as possible.
The Stratford Police would also like to extend a thank you to our school bus drivers, who are working hard to keep our kids safe everyday!
