PARIS - Nobody was injured after a pilot had to make an emergency landing in a farmers field near Paris.
The plane touched down around 11:30 this morning on West River Road. Constable Ed Sanchuk says both people in the plane were able to walk away.
"A 24 year old male and a 33 year old male were in a Cessna 150 Charlie and had to make an emergency landing due to some mechanical failures. As a result the pilot was able to successfully land the aircraft in a field. My hat goes off to that pilot, he did a wonderful job and both gentlemen walked away unscathed with no injuries whatsoever."
Transport Canada has been notified and crews are currently working to remove the air craft from the farmers field.
