A special weather statement has been issued for most of Southwestern Ontario with heavy rainfall expected late Friday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of Southwestern Ontario, including Oxford County.
They are warning about the potential for heavy rain late Friday, through Friday night. Rainfall amounts could reach 30-40 mm, with some isolated areas getting 50 mm of rain or more.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to move across the area late Friday through Friday night.
The rain is caused by remnants of Hurricane Pamela. Flooding is possible in low lying areas and the heavy rainfall will lead to high water levels across all water courses.
