An extreme cold warning is in effect for the counties of Oxford and Brant.
Environment Canada is reporting extremely cold weather conditions for New Years Eve, with temperatures feeling close to the minus 30 mark with the wind chill. There's a possibility the freezing temperatures could continue into New Years Day.
The cold could put anyone at risk at getting frost bite or hypothermia.
Pet owners are also being advised to limit the amount of time their pet spends outdoors; if it's too cold for you it's too cold for your furry friend.
