The Woodstock Women's Fastball Association had a food drive for the Salvation Army in Woodstock on Tuesday night and raised over $1,200 and a trunk full of food.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Women's Fastball Association had a food drive for the Salvation Army in Woodstock on Tuesday night.
They Association donated $500 themselves and collected a total of $1,205 for the Salvation Army. They also managed to fill a trunk full of food.
The ladies wanted to come together and help out their community, even though they can't get on the field right now.
You can still drop off food or other donations to the Salvation Army in Woodstock at their Family Services Office at 190 Huron Street, the Food Bank is currently opening on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm and our church office at 769 Juliana is also open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
They specifically need these items:
- Pudding cups
- Canned fruits
- Cereal
- Pasta sauce
- Peanut Butter and Jam
- Hamburger Helper
- Coffee
- Pancake mix and syrup
- Canned goods and non perishables
- Instant coffee and creamer
