One person died in a fatal farming incident involving a tobacco harvester in Windham yesterday.
WINDHAM - The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate a fatal farming incident on East Quarter Line Road in Windham.
In a video posted on the OPP West Region Twitter page, Constable Ed Sanchuk says the Norfolk OPP got the call at around 9:40 a.m. yesterday.
"It was determined that individual was operating a tobacco harvester when they were involved in an incident while harvesting. As a result, the driver suffered serious life-threatening injuries and I'm extremely sad to say that person was pronounced deceased on scene."
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time as police notify their friends and family.
