The driver didn't even stick around to call 9-1-1 after hitting a 45 year old cyclist from Strathroy on Monday night in Adelaide-Metcalfe.
UPDATE: Police continue to search for the driver of a car that hit and killed a 45 year old cyclist from Strathroy.
Investigators have determined the suspect vehicle involved in the collision would have sustained damage to the front passenger side corner and headlight assembly.
Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY - OPP are investigating a fatal hit and run on Monday night in Adelaide-Metcalfe.
A 45 year old from Strathroy was killed, while riding their bike on Calvert Drive. A vehicle hit the cyclist from behind. The bike rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not released the name of the deceased, pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the vehicle, took after after the collision and did not stick around to call 9-1-1.
West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team investigating.
Investigators are asking any motorist that were travelling on Calvert Line between 6:30 p.m., and 7:45 p.m., to contact police if they observed anything suspicious. Community residents are also being asked to check their security surveillance cameras to see if the recordings captured the vehicle or bicyclist.
