Police are searching for a suspect after a fatal shooting in downtown Kitchener.
Update: Waterloo Regional Police say the hold and secure at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute has been lifted following this morning's fatal shooting in downtown Kitchener.
KITCHENER - One person has died following a shooting in downtown Kitchener this morning.
Waterloo Regional Police say the shooting happened in the area of Pandora Avenue North and King Street. A suspect vehicle was spotted leaving the area shortly after the shooting.
Students at the nearby Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute were put into a hold and secure this morning while police investigated the area.
Students will not be allowed to leave the school until the hold and secure is lifted. The school board has issued a statement saying all staff and students are safe.
