Braves will battle the Dolphins tonight while the Merchants visit the Firebirds and the Trojans host the Spitfires.
PJHL - All of Oxford County's Junior C hockey teams will kick off the Thanksgiving long weekend on the ice.
The Norwich Merchants will visit the New Hamburg Firebirds tonight, while the Tavistock Braves host the Dorchester Dolphins and the Thamesford Trojans host the Aylmer Spitfires. The Trojans will be looking for a comeback after suffering a 7-1 loss to the Petrolia Flyers last night.
The Braves and the Merchants will be back in action tomorrow with the Merchants visiting Dorchester and the Braves battling the Firebirds in New Hamburg.
All of the games have 7:30 p.m. start times.
The Braves are on top of the Doherty Division standings with 14 points, followed by the Wellesley Applejacks and the Firebirds with 10 points each. The Paris Mounties are in third place with seven points, only one ahead of the fourth place Merchants with six points. The Dolphins are in fifth place with four points and the Hespeler Shamrocks are at the bottom of the standings with three points.
The Trojans are tied with the Lucan Irish for fourth place in the Yeck Division standings with four points each, only one ahead of the last place Port Stanley Sailors. The Spitfires are tied with the Exeter Hawks for third place with eight points each and the Flyers are in second place with nine points. The North Middlesex Stars and the Mount Brydges Bulldogs are tied at the top of the standings with 12 points each.
