Lieutenant Brad Chaplin and firefighter Geoff Elliot have been honoured for serving the Woodstock Fire Department for over 25 years.
WOODSTOCK - A Lieutenant and a firefighter have been honoured for their 25 years of services with the Woodstock Fire Department.
Lieutenant Brad Chaplin and firefighter Geoff Elliot were both awarded with watches on Friday October 21st.
Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Slager says both men have been active in the community, even before they joined the department.
"Both of these individuals started with the city actually prior to working for the fire department so they've committed their employment career to not just with us here but for the city at large."
Slager adds Elliot is actually getting ready to retire.
"We're at a time period now where he's actually going to be retiring at the end of this month; October 31st is going to be his last day with us. We were a bit tardy in getting his watch to him; he's actually been with the department for about 28 and a half years."
