A high school student from London Middlesex suffered a severe respiratory illness from vaping e-cigarettes and was just released from the ICU.
LONDON - A teenager in the London Middlesex is the first known case of respiratory illness related to vaping in Canada.
The London Middlesex Health Unit made the announcement today. The teenager was put on life support in the ICU after suffering from the illness. The teen has recovered and is now back home.
This case was carefully investigated and the only cause of this illness is vaping from e-cigarrettes.
The announcement comes two weeks after Health Canada issued an alert about the potential risk of pulmonary illnesses associated with vaping products.
