One driver is charged with failing to stop for a red light resulting in a crash that sent five people to hospital in Simcoe.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Police are investigating a crash that caused the closing of Queensway East in Simcoe and sent 5 people to hospital, including an young infant.
Police say a pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Queensway East when the driver collided with a north bound vehicle that was exiting from a local mall, just west of Donly Drive. The pickup truck continued eastbound and collided with a west bound pickup truck that was stopped at the stop light causing the pickup truck to roll over.
Norfolk County Fire Department had to extricate the driver and passenger of the pickup at which time they were transported to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Two adults in the pickup truck were transported to a local area hospital for precautionary measures. The third driver involved did not suffer any injuries.
Police have charged the driver of the pickup truck with failing to stop for a red light.
