You'll be able to catch performances of Our Little Secret at Theatre Woodstock and South Gate Centre this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Out Little Secret is about to hit the stage at Theatre Woodstock and South Gate Centre.
The Festival of One Act plays will bring the story to life at the with two shows seniors centre this weekend, before moving back to Theatre Woodstock for another two performances.
It follows the story of Darlene who finds Sam, an armed intruder in her house, on a Friday night. She gets to know him while the police are searching the neighbourhood.
Ted McLaughlin plays Lieutenant Banks in the production. He says this play was written by the talented Rollin Jewett.
"He's a playwright, a musician, he has done some television, and lives down in the United States in Florida. The Vampire Diaries is part of his repertoire. He's been very involved in the promotion of this play through social media, which we are thrilled for!"
The Woodstock production will be directed by Kim DiLello, and McLaughlin says it will be short and sweet.
"It's about 45 or 50 minutes. It's under an hour so there's no intermission. It's easy to sit through it and enjoy it."
South Gate will host a 7:30 p.m. performance on Friday June 21st, followed by a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday June 22nd. The cast and crew will move to Theatre Woodstock from there, for another 7:30 p.m. performance on Saturday June 22nd and a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday June 23rd.
Tickets for all of the shows cost $20 each and they can be purchased online here for the Theatre Woodstock performances. Tickets for the shows at South Gate Centre have to be purchased at the front desk of the seniors centre during office hours.
Ted McLaughlin stopped by the Heart FM studio with Kim DiLello and Angela Hess from South Gate Centre on Wednesday June 19th. You can listen to their full interview with Dan and Marcie below:
