Three food drives will help stock the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank.
WOODSTOCK - A couple of major food drives will be happening at local grocery stores in Woodstock.
Organizer Chris Eby tells Heart FM they will be asking customers to help them stock the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank.
"We hand out little slips of paper to the customers as they come into the store, asking if they wouldn't mind to purchase one of the items on the list. The lists are all tagged on the shelves in the same colour as the paper."
The first one happened last Saturday at Food Basics and they have two more food drives coming up in September. The first one is happening on September 2nd at No Frills and they'll wrap up at Sobeys on September 30th.
Eby says the goal is to help stock the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank in Woodstock. Donations typically dwindle during the summer months for a number of reasons.
