A freezing rain warning and special weather statement remains in place for Oxford County.
Environment Canada says we could still see some freezing rain late this morning and in the early afternoon with accreation of 1 to 4 km hour.
Wind gusts could reach up to 70 km/h this afternoon, leading to possible power outages.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
Freezing rain will turn to rain later this this afternoon.
