A funeral will be taking place for Edmonton Police Constables Travis Jordan and Brett Ryan today, after they were killed in the line of duty on March 16th.
EDMONTON - The two Edmonton Police officers who were recently killed in the line of duty will be laid to rest today.
Constables Travis Jordan and Brett Ryan passed away on March 16th after they were shot multiple times while responding to a domestic dispute in an apartment complex.
The funeral procession will begin at the Alberta legislature this morning before it makes it's way to Rogers Place in the downtown core.
The service is not open to the public but there will be a livestream for those who can't be there. The funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Saving Time, which works out to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Saving Time.
The City of Edmonton may make additional viewing areas available; details will be shared once they are finalized.
