OXFORD COUNTY - Half-Load Season is underway in Oxford County.
The spring thaw can weaken city roadways making them more vulnerable to damage.
Hauling heavy loads during these times can cause excessive damage to the roads and cause an increase in taxes for residents in the County. Road damage can also lead to unforeseen driving conditions that could result in insurance claims, personal injury, or death.
In the Township of Zorra and Blandford Blenheim, the season begins today and will go until April 15th. For the remainder of the County, the season will begin on March 1st and run until April 30th.
