The Southside Aquatic Centre will be handing out swim passes instead of candy to trick-or-treaters this Halloween.
WOODSTOCK – Trick-or-treaters will be in for quite the treat if they stop at Southside Aquatic Centre. Southside will be handing out free swim passes on Halloween this year.
Director of Parks and Rec Brian Connors says they want to get kids back in the pool.
"We want to invite people back to the pool after we went through our renovation and were closed for four months. It's a nice way to burn off the chocolate and chips that all the kids are going to get to keep the community and children in the community active."
Connors tells Heart FM about the renovation.
"Most of the work that was done was the pipes and the fittings. The only thing that you can really recognize other than the tank and the deck being very different, is the ramp that goes in. There's a ramp that actually goes into the pool."
Only children and teens under the age of 18 will be able to use the free swim passes.
