MPP Ernie Hardeman has launched an Oxford County photography contest in hopes of putting together a calendar later this year.
OXFORD COUNTY - It is photo-taking time for Oxford County.
Member of Provincial Parliament for Oxford, Ernie Hardeman has put together a calendar contest. He says that the idea has come from colleagues.
"Having people, photographers who wish to participate to take pictures of notable places in Oxford that we can make into a calendar."
Hardeman expresses that he hopes to see many residents of Oxford take part in the contest.
"Anyone from Oxford and the picture has to be taken in Oxford is eligible."
Here are the full requirements for the contest:
- Participants must live in the riding of Oxford, which includes a portion of Brant, west of East Quarter Townline Road.
- Participants must list their first and last name and address, and the location and date the photo was taken.
- OPTIONAL: Participants can provide a self-portrait picture to accompany their photograph in the calendar.
- Photographs can be taken on any device. The winning photographs will be chosen based on quality and their ability to accurately capture the beauty, diversity, and inclusivity of our riding.
- All photos must be original, unedited files.
- Have fun! This initiative is for the residents to get outside and explore the parts of our riding that they’ve never seen before.
Photos are to be submitted to ernie.hardemanco@pc.ola.org by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 31st.
If enough entries are submitted, a panel of judges will look at the photos and determine which 12 will make the calendar.
Attention all shutterbugs! I'm holding a photography contest for residents of Oxford to submit photos of our riding. The best ones will be featured in my 2024 calendar. See the details on my website https://t.co/BFflQkaai3. pic.twitter.com/7YO2fKW7V3
