Plenty of local hockey action is on the the schedule for Friday with Merchants, Vets, Braves and Trojans all playing on home ice.
Two local Jr C hockey teams are throwing their support behind a couple of charities tonight.
The Woodstock Navy Vets are hosting the Delhi Travellers at Southwood Arena. Game time is 7:45 pm. It's a big game for both teams as Delhi trails Woodstock by one point in the standings.
The Navy Vets will be the Pink Vets at tonight's game as they sport their pink jerseys in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The team will auction off the jerseys following the game to raise funds for Breast Cancer research.
Over in Norwich, the Merchants are showing their support for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, helping children battling cancer. $1 from each ticket sold and the team's portion of the 50/50 draw along with fans' donations will benefit POGO. The Merchants host the Paris Mounties at 8:00 pm.
In other local hockey action, the Tavistock Braves are home against the Burford Bulldogs. Over in the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Trojans are taking on Lucan in Thamesford. Puck drops there at 7:30 pm.
