The Ontario Fire Marshall is investigating a fire that destroyed a home in Blandford-Blenheim township Monday morning. The Blandford-Blenheim township fire department, Plattsville, Bright, Drumbo and Princeton were all called to respond to the fire shortly after 11 am. The OPP, Woodstock fire and Oxford EMS were also at the scene assisting. OPP closed Oxford County Road 3 and Blenheim Road at Township Road 12 as crews battled the blaze. Firefighters searched the house on Township Road 12 to see if the residents were home but were forced out when the roof collapsed. It was not confirmed if anyone was home at the time of the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
