A close call in Drumbo after an emergency hot air balloon landing.
DRUMBO - Nobody was injured after a hot air balloon was forced to make an emergency landing in Drumbo.
Oxford OPP constable Stacey Culbert tells Heart FM the original call to police said the balloon had hit a house.
"Neighbours in the area had reported that a hot air balloon had come down in the area of Harmer Crescent in Drumbo around 5:15 p.m and hit a house, that was the initial reported call, however it turns out that the hot air balloon with it's passengers and operator or pilot was able to safely land in the street."
Culbert says the balloon landed about 10 feet from any house on the street. None of the 8 passengers on the hot air balloon were injured. Police, Fire and EMS were on hand just in case and to help direct traffic.
