Police say the 27 year old driver was in possession of blue Fentanyl and cocaine and driving in the wrong lane when he smashed into a hydro pole on Towerline Road Saturday night.
WOODSTOCK - A 27 year old man from Toronto is facing a number of charges after police responded to a single vehicle crash involving a hydro pole on Saturday night.
Police say the vehicle was travelling on the shoulder of oncoming traffic when it became airborne and hit the hydro pole on Towerline Road just after 8:00 pm. The vehicle then crossed both lanes of traffic and launched several hundred metres in to the ditch.
The driver was found to be in possession of blue fenanyl and cocaine and was well over the legal limit.
Police arrested the 27 year old man on the following charges:
- Resist Peace Officer
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – other than to attend court
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
