INGERSOLL - The Downtown Ingersoll BIA is hosting a kick off to Summer BBQ and Summer Sale this Friday from 3 to 6 pm.
Economic Development and Tourism Assistant Lauren Ostermaier says they have a ton of fun events planned.
"It's for the entire town to come out and enjoy the start of summer. We will have a classic car show, we have chosen to close off Thames Street between Charles and King for the duration of the event. There is going to be a live band and it is going to be a great event."
Ostermaier says the businesses will be taking part and offering up some great summer deals.
"We have a lot of stores offering some great deals, they will be setting up tables outside, so people who are enjoying the BBQ, can walk the street and see what our local businesses are offering."
Everyone is invited to stop by and take part in the festivities. Joker's Crown is doing the BBQ and will be serving up sliders and kettle chips and the Mason's will be there as well serving up ice cream.
